Barbara Tyson

At Suburban Gallery since November 2004

Sydney Born and educated Barbara Tyson has a desire to excel as one of Australia’s leading female artists.

After graduating from East Sydney Art School Barbara consistently pursued her art studies while working in the graphic communications industry of which 20 years was managing her own graphic design company.
Now a full time artist based in Melbourne the fine art of painting consumes Barbara’s passion. Her objective is to create freedom and movement within our structured world through art. She explores the region between realism and abstract expression to stimulate ones imagination.
Suburban has had  many sell out exhibitions of Barbara’s work plus sellout shows at ‘Art Melbourne and ‘Art Sydney’ since 2005.
quote from Lesley Huntrer Director of Suburban:
As an artist I am in awe of Barbara’s talent to bring such movement to her canvases!
I find they ‘move and swirl’ in front of me. I love watching the reaction of my clients as they view Barbara’s work-
she is a truly talented and inspiring women and artist”. Barbara Tyson dip GD CAREER HISTORY
