Suzanne Bagster
Self taught artist Suzanne Bagster started experimenting with corrugated ‘iron’ several years ago. By the time she had finished the first piece she was invited to do a whole exhibition of corrugated pieces. That first successful exhibition led to further exhibitions and commissions.
Influenced by the French Impressionists’ love of light play and style with colours of Australia Suzanne’s works are vibrant and lively. The main focus has been the boldness of the Australian flowering bush. Her distinctive works on corrugated zinc aluminum can be found in traditional homes, contemporary spaces and businesses around Australia.
Suzanne was born in Sydney, lived in Brisbane for many years before moving to Melbourne in 2006. Suzanne continues to complete portraits but corrugated pieces continue to be the main focus on her work.
