‘  I was born in the middle of the north of England  where it used to
take us hours to drive to the dull grey English sea and pebbly beaches
-  now I'm lucky enough to live down the Bellarine Peninsula in Point
Lonsdale, just across the road from the beach - and I can't get enough
of it! I love to walk on the beach and enjoy the vibe of everyone
relaxing and having  fun - to see the glorious colours of the waves on
the point of breaking, the colours of the water, the constant change
of the sand as the tide comes in and looking at the amazing red cliffs
down the Great Ocean Road.
These colours and textures and moods constantly inspire me and I
try to capture them on canvas. I use mixed media - whatever inspires
me to catch the look of what I am trying to create, heavily textured
impasto, metal leaf, shellac, oil paint, thin glazes, thick glazes,
Perspex and lights, hoping to capture these fleeting moments and share
them with the viewer.’
