CHRIS STONE
Chris Stone, known internationally for his textile design and colour forecasting captures the fleeting beauty of the natural world. His flower paintings capture a variety of styles and techniques, juxtapositioning realistic and less detailed styles. Colour is richly applied in layers. Light and the use of chiaroscuro defines depth in these works. Stone combines natural as well as historical references to achieve what is essentially a 'Dutch master' style.
